I read the reviews and a lot of people said it was quiet, sounds awful etc. I had to laugh when a guy plugged in his TV and said the sound quality was lousy . PEOPLE: This is a speaker designed for amplified two-way radio output such as amateur radio. You cannot input a microphone level signal from a TV or computer audio output without outputting at low volume. The frequency response is designed for a specific set of frequencies used in FM speech modulation. For what it was designed for, it works BEAUTIFULLY. I hooked up my Kenwood TM-D710GA and it sounds as good or better than Kenwood's $70 OEM speaker, which looks and works exactly the same. If you screenprint "Kenwood" onto a speaker, you won't be able to tell the difference between the two. I cranked it up to full volume, and while it was too loud for my comfort, it didn't distort or clip. Very happy with the quality and the cost.
