Probably thinking the same thing as you. $50 for a distributor, how hard is it to screw something up? Pretty easy to see. Installed fairly easily on a 1989 C1500 although the cover is difficult to put on and take off. More than any other distributor I have ever used. The cover to rotor contact is the cheapest and thinnest gasket they could get by with and broke during my lunch break when I was driving normally after a week of wear and tear. Go to your local parts store and spend the extra $100 and buy something worthwhile, trust me!
