These tapers worked fine for me from 14G to 8G but when I started using the 6G taper the size was wrong and it didn't even move. I just stopped and waited longer to avoid a blowout. These cones are too short and cause more damage to the ear since it's not a slow cone. I bought another 6G cone at a piercing shop and immediately noticed that it is MUCH smaller in circumference than the 6G in this set. Personally I've never had a reaction to real stainless steel but these tunnels made my ears very itchy, they were too narrow/short for thicker earlobes and infected my husband's ears and mine. Even after soaking in 91% alcohol before use. I would just avoid them and buy a set from a reputable piercing/jewelry store.
