These small rolls of tape are ideal for traveling or as a small package. As a print news editor, my main uses of duct tape are to attach my monopod to a solid object, for MacGyver to damage something in my photoset, or to create shields or modifiers for my flash. I used it on a construction site to help a man with a bleeding arm before the safety inspector could get to him with a first aid kit. In each case, the tape was tacky enough for the task but left no residue. It was easy to tear and the rolls are small enough that I don't have to look for them later if I loan them to someone and not return them like I would have to with a giant roll. Not cheap, but good scotch never comes.
