The green color option on this pull out colander is actually blue. The photos are accurate, it's like steel blue. I personally don't care, but my mom said the blue strainer doesn't taste good when eaten. Color opinions aside, we both really like this expandable screen. It is very comfortable! The adjustable size means I can place it by the sink however I want. It makes it so easy to wash fruits and veggies and then I can let them dry in a colander. The colander stays where I put it, I never worry about it falling down the sink with freshly washed food. It can be washed in the dishwasher. I've put the strainer in the dishwasher a few times and had no problems with it. I have found that it is sometimes difficult to fully open the strainer. I keep it in the smallest size to keep in the closet and sometimes it's difficult to take apart. So I'm worried that the sliding mechanism will stop working in the future.
