This speaker has mostly good reviews, but I've read some negative ones too. With such a large selection of speakers from other manufacturers, I'm very skeptical, especially about the size and sound quality, so I read all the reviews. The size was difficult to determine from the photos on Revain as the speaker appears to be larger and the details show the size of the 'package' rather than the size of the speaker. In the FAQ section I saw the actual measurements of 13.4 x 7.3 x 3.9 inches and 4.15 pounds which was helpful and seems accurate. I also watched a video about the product on Revain, which also gives a better idea of the size, and I've included a few photos from that video in this review for reference. The speaker is larger than the Beats Pill we have, but smaller than the karaoke reel unit, which I also considered for powerful sound. It's impractical for a backpack (although it fits easily in one), but it can be carried in a suitcase when traveling. The design is pretty bland but I'm more concerned with the sound and functionality and I love that it has a handle so my kids shouldn't drop it. I'm not a music lover but for me the sound was way better than I expected, especially since the pill was over $200 when we bought it a few years ago and this speaker was $50 (Revain gave $20). instant voucher), louder with more bass than Pill. The Pill is a little cleaner and half the size, but delivers a much bigger and fuller sound outside of the pool. It's still a small speaker so the volume and base won't disturb drinks off the table or blow your hair back, but it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm buying another one to tie on either side of the pool. I just got it yesterday so I don't know about the battery life yet. Right out of the box I was able to connect to Bluetooth and start playing right away. A rubber cube for sealing the input ports and IPX7 waterproof is included, but I haven't tested it either. I only need it to be splash proof around the pool and my kids have already used it next to the shower (slightly wet) so looks like it will work great for that. With so many options it's hard to choose but I feel like I have a lot and this Dbsoars speaker should fit our needs perfectly. I will not buy another expensive branded speaker. Thanks very much!
