I am very surprised that this jacket is so popular. It's a dense denim that isn't too stretchy. This is actually the 4th jacket I've bought only to return the other 3 due to fit issues. I ordered a size up as I prefer a looser fit. You can easily wear this over a sweater. I feel like Goldilocks!
