This suit does what it says it will. I wore for several hours and was not uncomfortable (I wore a thin undershirt and would highly recommend that approach—the bodysuit material is fine but I don't think it would feel great against my torso all night). I didn't need the hood and just tucked it into the front. It was not noticeable, but it may have been if the suit had been a very tight fit. I am 6'4" and around 185, and the XL fit me very well; it was snug not tight like a compression shirt or exercise tights.I also cut small openings on the inside of the wrists that allowed me to take my hands out without too much trouble and small holes on my thumb and finger tips for cell phone use. Both modifications worked well, but I don't know if they will survive a wash (I only planned to wear it once).
