Review on KYB 341198 Excel G Gas Strut by Michael Glassburn

Bought a pair of these for my '97 Civic HX. Ride quality was good initially, but doesn't last long. After 2 years and 22,000 miles of commuting the driver's side shock has exploded and is leaking fluid all over the shock body. Because of this, the ride quality is now very poor. I expected them to last more than 2 years. They are said to have a lifetime guarantee. I'm trying to get KYB to cover one of them under warranty. Let's see what happens and I'll update my review accordingly. Updated 7/9/14. Now both rear shock absorbers are leaking. Trying to deal with KYB is useless. KYB just asks me to return them to the place of purchase, which is useless. This seems like a company that doesn't support their warranty or product.
