I've been wearing these collars for decades. They are amazing! I found out that one of them has not been released over time. I cut it off and examined it. The problem was that over time it got dirty and got stuck. If it is removed and cleaned regularly, there should be no problems. None of my others have ever had problems. My mother's rescue cat never wore a collar and was constantly scratching at it, forcing it to fit. I just did one big stitch in two different places where there was an overlap, keeping the knots between the layers. Problem solved. She's used to the collar and the daisy pattern is beautiful; with their fur and their eyes. (She is Siamese) UPDATE: As mentioned, the redesigned clasp prevents them from opening securely. One had to be cut off, and the other opened with such force that the cat would choke if it got caught. Another brand of product I tried was too easy and the cat got through it in minutes. Currently my cats go collarless as I'm looking for something safe. Please go back to the previous closure design!
