I don't understand why this is a "special" pillow. other than being smaller than standard? I got this because the KeaBabies baby pillow was getting too small for my 2.5 year old (he's been using it for a while and it's time to replace it). I think I believed there was something that made these things special and safe which is why I paid $25 for it. When I opened it I thought it looked and felt exactly like one of my pillows. I considered sending it back because it looked so similar. I didn't return it and now it's just lumpier and weirder than before. I can feel where my son's head was on the pillow and it's just a flat spot directly on the mattress where the filling is sticking around his head. He's not some crazy sleeper burying his head in a pillow or anything. We've had it for over a month now and it washes well, I fluff it up every night and while I sleep it still comes out in clumps. If there's something there for sure, I don't see it. But don't let that stop you from getting it. Personally I just didn't see any difference.
