This kettle broke after I made waffles for the first time. The base is designed to detach from the main body for washing without getting the electronic parts wet. However, when I tilted the top too far while cleaning, it accidentally came loose. I've tried putting it back together multiple times and couldn't figure it out. Unfortunately, while being very careful, the power cord was dangerously exposed at the base when attempting to reassemble everything. The position of the power cord insert in relation to what you're supposed to do to reattach the base appears to be a HUGE design flaw. At the very least, the manual should draw your attention to the power cord when telling you how to reattach the base. I tried wrapping the cable with tape because I was dying to use the device again. But when I turned it on I saw sparks and after a while my fridge reported the switch had tripped. Unfortunately, the product became unusable after one use. INCLUDED. The real waffle he made was so damn good that despite this obvious design flaw, I'm considering buying another one. After it broke I bought another brand to replace it but the waffle he made wasn't even the same quality. The waffle from this machine was one of the best homemade meals I have ever had in my life. So three stars, if it would otherwise be a very clear one.
