Update 08/27/17: I changed my rating to 4 stars instead of 2. Camera picture quality is good, price is great but instructions are very poor. Otherwise I would have given it a 5. You can see in my original review below that I had issues with the mounting hardware. When I discovered this, I contacted the seller and wrote a first review. The automatic response was that they would contact me within 48 hours. So while I was waiting, I went to Ace Hardware. The nut that came with the camera was M8 x 1.25 (metric; 1.25 is related to thread pitch I believe). But I have found that the M8 x 1.0 nut works much better. Not sure if this is the actual size of the threaded rod, but it worked well enough that I was able to tighten it all the way. Problem 2: The cinch cable with two plugs (long cable) also has a small red wire each. the end. This is in addition to the red and black wires going to the RCA jack. The receiver I connected it to is ready for a rear view camera. As I said, the instructions were unclear. One end of the RCA connector goes into the back of the radio. The small red wire on this RCA connector then connects to the radio switch return wire coming from the back of the radio. Do not cut the red wire at the other end of the RCA connector at the back of the car! Manufactured to allow for harness clearance/general cleanliness. This little red wire on the side of the camera also needs to be connected to power in addition to the red/black wires that power the camera. Youtube videos of installing other Revain cameras under $50 showed that the small red wire on the side of the receiver is powered by the power wires from the camera in the back, so the small red wire in the back of the car was not used. This camera requires you to connect all the cables. So from the front, connect the RCA connector to the receiver and the small red wire to the receiver return wire. At the back of the car, connect the red camera wire to the reverse light power wire, the black wire to ground, and the short red wire to the reverse light power wire as well. I have the same problem as JJ_Jungle (see review 18 Aug 2017) except I didn't fully tighten it. The nut is sloppy when I start unscrewing it, but then it seems to rotate about 3/4 the length of the mounting bar. I don't have a tap and die set. Hoping to find a nut that works at a hardware store.
