Easy to install: oven parts and accessories

After understanding the design of the heating element and oven, it was very easy to install. You will need a 1/4 screwdriver to remove the two screws that attach the element to the back wall inside the oven and the five screws that attach the rear center wall. You have to move the slab away from the wall to work on it. Either unplug the oven from the outlet or turn off the oven switch or pull the fuse to isolate the oven from the mains. 220 volts AC goes through half of the wiring not controlled by the oven's rotary switch, and it really desperately wants to go to ground. I can tell you from experience that you don't want to be the ground wire. Unscrew the 5 screws in the panel in the middle of the oven, remove the panel and all the electronics will be exposed. Disconnect the connectors from the heating element and note which wire color, power wire, and wire from the heating element are connected. A rear panel inside the oven Two screws must be loosened to separate the baking element from the baking panel. Remove an item and replace it with a new item. The new element must fit perfectly after being screwed in. On the back of the oven you should see a couple of exposed element leads protruding through the insulation. Connect the colored power wires to the Element's connectors in the same configuration as you found when you disconnected the old Element. Plug the oven back in and try the oven. Give the oven about 20 seconds to heat up, open the door and you should feel the heat coming out of the oven. If there are sparks and the brakes slam, it's time to call an electrician.
