I had really high hopes for this. Simply put, I wanted a heater with a digital thermostat so I could set the temperature and the unit would turn on and off within a degree or two. Easy right? Isn't that the job of a thermostat? Well I set the block to 70 degrees. I woke up this morning to find the temp is now 62 degrees and it's freaking cold. Then the heater turned on, brought the temperature up to 66 degrees and turned off. So it didn't turn on when the temperature dropped well below the 70 degree mark, allowing it to drop another 8 degrees before kindly turning on and then turning off 4 degrees below the desired mark. The whole reason I went with the digital version is to have precise control over when the device heats up and when it doesn't. This device just doesn't work properly and is rated with one star. Yes, it looks good, but it doesn't serve its purpose and is clearly defective. Honestly, manufacturers, in this day and age of precision electronics, how difficult is it to have a basic digital thermostat, nothing less. Any simple $10 digital alarm clock will do the same with great accuracy. This isn't rocket science. Simply cheap, you know where the garbage originates. Choose another brand.
