This Arjen Kroos underwear is a hybrid combination of a traditional men’s brief and a jock strap, with all of the advantages and disadvantages of both styles thereunto appertaining.Overall, the material they’re made of is very thin and soft, almost satiny, with a breathable mesh weave and folded-over, quite narrow seams along the edges. The back provides the modest butt cheek coverage of a brief, with, it must be noted, the attendant presence of non-wedgie-resistant fabric in the nether areas. Relatively thin side straps transition the dorsal portion to a low-rider, jock-strap-style pouch that gently but firmly accommodates the goods up front, at least after a bit of rearranging. To say that the pouch is adequately sized for normal anatomy is to understate the matter; it’s huge, at least by my standards. YMMV, of course.Sizing seems reasonably accurate. Asian-made and –sized underwear is always a crap shoot as to whether it’ll fit U.S. bodies, but this one comes as close as any. I ordered the next smaller size than my waist measurement indicates, but it fits well; in fact, it’s slightly larger and looser than I prefer. Good luck in finding the right size.This is a useful alternative to both briefs and jock straps, and has earned a prominent position at the top of my underwear drawer.
