I use them for music lessons, especially now they are useful to keep social distance with students. I can type music without leaning forward (which is why I originally bought it), my back doesn't hurt, and now with COVID I can stay away from a student. Gave one to his wife, a teacher, and she found it. Handy for highlighting key points on the whiteboard/promethean or when using a projector. No disturbing shadows. FYI I also dropped some on the back of the piano - some blue paste on the tip and it came out without having to reach or move the piano. Nothing beats a multi-purpose tool :)
