Fits IS 1 and 1/8 frames - 1 and 1/2 tapered carbon forks. Once installed, the crown creates a 2mm gap between the steerer tube and fork. Crown not present in the previous headset. It's unclear why there is a ridge on the underside of the crown, but something to consider with your build if you're buying the "IS52/40/H1" variant. Good news: it works. The seal on the crown ring is intended to protect the bearings from anything that can get into this gap! Bad news: looks awful if you're into that sort of thing.
