In bad weather, good things rust!

Awesome little Cane Creek Forty lower bearing/ring replacement kit. This item will rust and the bearings will wear out if you ride in wet weather! Solution? Take kit 110.

VERY SMOOTH AND WORKS GREAT

I recently purchased a Wren 150 Series fork for my fat bike. I bought this extra bearing ring so I can swap back and forth if I want to. The fit and finish is impeccable as expected from Cane products! Easy installation and smooth operation.

Product works but leaves 2mm clearance between fork and steerer

Fits IS 1 and 1/8 frames - 1 and 1/2 tapered carbon forks. Once installed, the crown creates a 2mm gap between the steerer tube and fork. Crown not present in the previous headset. It's unclear why there is a ridge on the underside of the crown, but something to consider with your build if you're buying the "IS52/40/H1" variant. Good news: it works. The seal on the crown ring is intended to protect the bearings from anything that can get into this gap! Bad news: looks awful if you're into thatโ€ฆ

  • Ugly packaging

Cane Creek make quality products. Every single one of their headsets that I have purchased has worked great. They make a selection of headsets. Every time I need it, the first thing I do is check their website to see if they have the right size/type. Their customer service is also very good. I called several times and each time contacted a live person to answer my questions. This works for using straight 1 1/8 forks in a tapered steerer tube. You only need the bottom as the top of the taperedโ€ฆ

Cartridge bearing, ZS Installation requires pressing in the bearing shell.

Great replacement lower steerer tube for the stock caged ball bearing on my 2016 Kona Process 134. Very happy with the quality from Cane Creek. Rest assured that any series (40 or 110) replacement cartridge bearing can be quickly swapped out and removed using the same cup. Installation Notice. I took my setup to the shop to press the cup, but what was amazing was that the Park Tool Press had no leveling function when pressing this cup, it just kept the cup as flat as possible. If it goes wrong,
