This set of glass dip pens is a great start for those just starting out with calligraphy or wanting to practice writing the 'old fashioned' way. The ink will not bleed through a normal sheet of paper. The pen itself feels good in the hand and is easy to control. It also rinses off completely with water (I used a small shot glass to clean and only had to dunk it to clear it). The ink itself is simple; However, the anti-leak topcoat was a bit difficult to remove and ended up with some ink "spitting out" when I opened the lid. It wasn't too inconvenient as washing with water is very easy, but be aware before opening. There is a very good choice of colours. Before use, shake the ink to mix what has settled to the bottom. This may have contributed to ink splattering when I opened the rubber seal. Overall, I can recommend this fountain pen set. It is very easy to use, especially for beginners. Cleaning is very quick and easy and the color variation of the ink is great.
