
We've been doing sous vide for over a year and wanted to get my mum one. She has never made bath water before, so we wanted the machine to be easy to use. After it was delivered we paid her a visit and ran a short demo. These are just clips on a standard pot and there is no bracket and screw on the doors like our older and more expensive model. We cooked 4 New York strip steaks medium rare, the meat was perfectly cooked from edge to edge. We put some seasoning and oil on the steaks and they were amazing. The meat only needs to be grilled to form a crust and remove the gray appearance of the skin, and then the meat is ready to eat. Meat gets better flavor when seasoned/marinated and then cooked versus seasoning after it's cooked through the frying process. It's also easy to connect to the ecosystem of the CTO app with Wi-Fi. The application is easy and convenient for a 70-year-old. You don't need an app to control it but it was easier for me to control it from my phone and I told her to just keep the phone with her instead of waiting two hours in the kitchen.
