Review on Hunter Dempsey 44-Inch Low Profile Indoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light, Remote Control, Brushed Nickel by Kayty Michaels

The fan looks great! Very modern look and solid construction with rigid top support; It doesn't hang or spin because the blades are perfectly balanced like most fans. I had some problems with the installation. One of the threaded holes was not quite right; the clasp does not fit properly. I ended up having to drive the rod into the rig with a torque wrench, but in doing so I ripped off the head of the screw. Hopefully I NEVER have to remove that screw. Another issue is the light, it doesn't turn off as it should when you hold down the light button. Fortunately, the light comes on at full brightness, otherwise it would be very annoying. The only other issue with the fan is that it's a bit noisy. I have several fans at home and I've noticed that the low speed hum matches the high speed hum of my other fans. The hum doesn't disturb my sleep, but I expected better quality. Overall this is a good fan for the 30% discount price. Installation was easy but it took a few hours to fix the screw issue. I'll call Hunter to leave the lights on; I hope this can be solved easily. [Update] Fixed light dimming issue via email to Hunter Customer Service. The function can be deactivated and activated; mine was disabled by default. To activate this function, hold down the "Fan Off" button and press the light button 2 times. I didn't add a single star in the rating because I'm still messing around with the hum and struggling with a screw. :(
