Review on 🎨 High-Quality Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolor Paper Pad in White: Ideal for Artists by Kristen Simpson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A bit expensive for this quality.

Winsor & Newton Professional White Watercolor Paper. Supposed to be 140# cold pressed watercolor paper but I doubt they are 100% cotton rags. Advantages: β€’ 140 cold-pressed paper with medium surface finish - good for quick sketches with brush, pen or pencil. β€’ Convenient 5" x 7" size for drawing in the field or studio. β€’ 15 double-sided pages make 30 usable pages. β€’ Spiral binding to keep pages flat. β€’ Nothing leaks out to the other side - a very important feature. Cons: β€’ The pages absorb too much water, so light washing or even a minimal application of ink over a large area at a time will cause the page to warp. β€’ Acts like cellulose, not like a 100% rag, despite claiming opacity. A bit expensive for this quality.

Pros
  • Cold-pressed paper has a less textured surface and produces the brightest images. Its increased surface area holds more color and rejects more light.
Cons
  • Expensive
