I rarely used this little radio, probably less than 10 times. Bought this as an emergency receiver and used it a few times at work. Recently while changing the battery I tried to toggle the hold button to the "on" position and the switch got stuck and then broke. When I removed the broken external switch, I saw that it had four small thin "fingers" that were meant to switch the PC board. and two little "fingers" broke off. The battery kept draining and the radio turned off every time I checked it. It is likely that the internal clock mechanism will consume the energy until it is depleted. I found the volume control difficult to use as it is mostly recessed into the radio's body and is on the back. I will not replace it with another one. :-)
