Pros: This band looks, feels and works perfect (a shame it's only 7- lasts 10 days) . Cons: Due to what appears to be a design flaw, however, it has a weak point that broke twice within 10 days of wearing it under light loads. Luckily I was able to catch the watch before it hit the ground (both times) and luckily I didn't bike or hike the steep terrain. Where the strap connects to the watch, the plastic blocks holding the metal connecting bar are very thin (compared to the Fit Bit strap that comes with the watch). When I first used the band it lasted 10 days of normal use at the office, gym and home (no heavy sport or rest during that time) then it broke while walking. down the cement stairs to a work meeting. The second strap only lasted 7 days and then broke in the same spot (while walking through the garage at home to get in the car). I used the gray strap that came with the watch mountain biking for about 6 weeks. On rough trails, road biking, hard work in the yard, battle ropes in the gym, trail running and asphalt running - no problem with the Original Fit Bit Strap. So if you don't want your watch to drop suddenly. into the water, outdoors, from a balcony or mountain range, it can cost $30 for a strap with attachment (various colors) from their website.
