Overall this candle/wax warmer works perfectly. Have used it 3 times and the timer and heater settings seem to work fine. It gets pretty hot at altitude but that's good I think. My problem is that the dish doesn't exactly sit on the heat. Either the heating pad is slightly crooked or oval, or the shell is slightly uneven. I haven't analyzed it to understand what the problem is. But no matter how I twist and move the plate, it always turns out to be slanted in one direction or another. It's not enough to shed the wax if you remember how full it is. But if you're not careful, hot wax can drip over the rim and onto the heat lamp. I doubt I'll be returning it because I've used it over the holiday season and I'll miss most of it while I look forward to the next one. Also, returning items is currently quite a hassle due to long queues at most UPS stores etc, but just plain disappointing. I guess they don't really test it before shipping. Spring. Just not the great purchase I was hoping for after reading so many great reviews.
