My wife says I have Fred Flintstone feet. It is difficult to find comfortable wide shoes. Skechers usually fit, but I wanted something different. I was tempted to go up a half size as I have to do this with narrow shoes. It never works I went for a wide 11 and eventually it came up. As with all overlays, there is a break to make them easy to put on. After a week (and a few miles) they fit perfectly. They have something called flexible fiber (or something like that) so they end up conforming to your foot. One thing I really like and never considered is the height of the shoe from sole to toe in the insole at the top. The height of this shoe gives you extra room to move. I didn't have to trim my nails to make room. These shoes look cool!
