Review on πŸ’ͺ Superior Stainless Anti-Rust Hammock Tie Downs: Secure Your Hammock with the Best Fasteners by Drew Gengler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy, inexpensive

In my workshop I used eyebolts to attach heavy objects to the ceiling. You will need to drill a 5/16" starter bracket to install the back end and then a screwdriver or lock. Pliers to get the mechanical advantage needed to twist and screw the stock into the wood. The length of the shaft is short enough not to screw in a 3.5" rafter. I can't test the holding power, but the rafter will most likely fail before the bolt or bracket fails. Price wise, a local search shows them to be competitive with similar stainless steel eyebolts at local brick and mortar stores for $5 each.

Pros
  • Excellent corrosion and rust resistance
Cons
  • Very expensive
