I bought these to replace another brand that was decent quality but "tough" and broke in my back pocket quite often. I could only use one of these for a couple of months at most before it would inevitably break, leading me to believe they had some sort of "timer" to break them on a schedule so you had to buy another. Only a few bucks a piece, it wasn't terrible, but honestly I don't use my pocket combs very often (maybe once a day or less) so I regularly replaced an item that had limited use. The problem was the lack of flexibility, which led to breakage when carried in the pocket. They seem to be of decent quality and more flexible than others I've used so I'm sure they will last a lot longer. The teeth are not too sharp and appear to be well spaced. So far they haven't been uncomfortable to use (disclaimer I don't have very thick hair or there's a lot of hair these days!) Overall I'm happy with this purchase. They're a bit thinner than others I've bought but seem pretty sturdy. I've noticed that they fit a little in the bag I carry them in so they retain a slight curve when I take them out, but that doesn't interfere with use. I would buy them again but it may be years before I need them (assuming I still need them).
