Review on SKS-Germany X-Blade Fender: Ultimate Protection and Style for Your Ride by Tom Lantz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to turn on and off, durable and functional

I installed it on my 2002 StumpJumper. It is very easy to turn on and off. The attachment point is a hard plastic yoke with a strap that wraps around the rest of the seatpost and is tightened by snapping the tension strap. The hard plastic boot is 43mm (1 11/16 inches) high so you need equal space between the top of the seat tube on the frame and the bottom of the seat. Functionally, there isn't much to say about it. I mean it keeps mud and spatter from smashing your rear end like something is hanging over a tire. It's well made with two adjustment points that I think will fit just about any bike or configuration you want to fit your rear fender. When hit off center it is very easy to straighten and re-tighten.

Pros
  • Sports and Outdoors
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
