Review on 🌳 Optimized SubstrateSource 3 Piece Cholla Wood Aquarium Driftwood Set by Michael Radhakrishnan

3 pieces received that look almost exactly like the picture; all 4 inches long, one 1 1/8 inches in diameter, the medium PC is 3/4 inch in diameter, the smallest is 5/8 inch in diameter and will not rest on the bottom of the tank without weight. I cooked all three twice and soaked them twice overnight before placing the middle pc in a 5 gallon tank of red cherry shrimp. Even after all this, the water still turned a light brown hue within 24 hours of being placed in the aquarium. I'm not too happy with it and hope it doesn't get darker, but the shrimp crawled over it right away, so I think they like it. I will probably use the other 2 as decorations in my 20 gallons when I get my axolotl rig which I plan to get in the next few months. Don't put more than one in this small 5 gallon or the water will turn too brown for my liking. Generally they are good for small aquariums but having seen them in person and seen the brown the water turns after treating it to reduce this "problem" I don't think I would buy them again . Instead, I would probably choose a smaller Malaysian hook for my RCS tank. I think the shape will add interest to the overall look of the tank, big or small.
