They are very effective at reducing blue light, although they add a very noticeable yellow tint to everything. This is the first pair I've ever bought for blue light, although that might be ok. However, this part was in no way a deal breaker for me. The problem is how ungodly easily and recklessly these things get dirty or garbage collected! It was constantly interfering with my vision and I felt like I was constantly wiping it down (with the microfiber cloth that comes with the kit) to no avail! I have had many pairs of sunglasses that have never needed such thorough care. I was afraid to even touch its edge for fear of a big old stain on the lens. As I said, these are my first blue light glasses so ok this could well be a common problem. For now all I can say is that I'll find out soon as I'll be ordering a new pair from a different brand soon. The blue light filtering really makes working on the computer, gaming and watching TV at night a lot more enjoyable and I really liked the look of these, too bad I just can't wipe them off all the time. more.
