The lampshade is thin/does not fit
The paper lampshade was very stiff. As we pulled it closer together to form a star (so the legs came together), the rope attached to one leg broke. I was able to reattach it, but 1. I would reinforce the tape holding the thread in place before you close the star, and 2. I would slowly stretch the legs over time - maybe if the paper with the time stretches the thread will win. t be under that much stress. But even if I force it, the star's legs don't match, and the lamp hardware isn't obscured by the star like in the photo.
