Easy to use video camera monitor

Wimaxit 12" Touchmonitor Overview Requires a 10-12" monitor for use with my camcorder. As a YouTube content creator, I use a camcorder quite often. I had trouble framing the frame properly because I'm not in line of sight of the small LCD screen, which rotates to allow me to see. So I took the pictures, only to see later that the object I was talking about wasn't in the picture. I wanted the field monitor to be able to frame my frame. This monitor worked flawlessly right out of the box. I just connected a USB-C to the monitor for power and a mini HDMI cable to the mini HDMI port on my camcorder and that's it! It just works! I'm so excited to use this in my next video and be able to see what's in the frame instead of trying to see or guess what the camera is pointing at. This also makes it easy to see if everything is sharp. Next, I want to try a wireless HDMI transceiver, so all I need is a small USB cable connected to the monitor for power. I have several battery options that make this task easier. I also connected it to my laptop and again that was just a matter of connecting the cables. I used HDMI from the laptop to the mini HDMI to the monitor, USB from the included power adapter (like you use for your cellphone) and then another USB cable from the monitor to the laptop to enable the touchscreen functionality. I couldn't fine-tune the drawing with the touchscreen, it works. I'm assuming there is some software somewhere that allows better control of the touchscreen functionality. The monitor is lightweight, weighing about a pound, which is really light. I think without an internal battery there's little to add to its weight. There is a 75mm Vesa mounting hole on the back, but I just use an old tablet stand I've had for a few years and a custom mount. I built for my tablet many years ago. So I'm in the shop and I can adjust the monitor to any angle I want with a rotary knob. Although I haven't compared this monitor to other monitors, it does everything I need and more. A power button on the side, just above the multi-switch, controls everything from audio, brightness, contrast, color temperature, etc. It actually has a lot of control over the visual aspects that you would expect from a high-end monitor. While all I need for my purposes is a large area of the image, some people will find it useful to have full control over contrast, brightness, color temperature, etc. One of the things I would change is maybe add an insert with thread ยผ" x 20". for mounting but as I said I use a tablet stand and it works great. Finally, the power button and multi-function toggle switch feel a little flimsy or "plasticy". If anything goes wrong, it will likely be one of them. Of course time will tell as I've been using it for hours but so far I'm very happy with the easy connection and setup that took as long as it took to read the manual and plug in the cables. Incidentally, the kit comes with three cables, a power supply unit and a small stand. It also comes with a clear plastic screen protector. Recommendation: If you need an external monitor for your camcorder, this should work for you.
