I recently completed my last workstation with this processor. I'm 65 years old, retired aerospace engineer and still enjoy doing a lot of CAD design and rendering for my hobby. This processor is CRAZY fast! I've been using workstations at Aerospace for about 40 years. Mostly high quality, very expensive UNIX boxes. But I have never seen such a processor. Expensive? YES SIR. But if you want the best in the world, you pay the price. I can't believe anyone has ever been disappointed with the AMD Threadripper 3990x at the heart of their workstation. This processor actually has a built-in overclocking algorithm called "Precision Boost Overdrive" that allows you to increase the clock speed up to 4.5 GHz. Just set and forget. I've never had a crash with PBO +200MHz enabled.
