half hair ties were exactly what I was looking for. They were more structured. The smoother ones didn't work either, how do they have less resilience/recoil or are they bigger? I'm not going to cut them or anything, but yeah. I noticed a difference and I just tested them. After creating a double loop, the textured ones become smaller/tighter than the smoother ones. So for me the crowd is smoother and my hair tends to fall down - and I don't like that. I need an elastic to hold my hair in place; I don't have to fix my hair every 30 minutes. And you don't particularly need them if you're doing something important and can't fix your hair all day. I think if the person has MORE hair than me, maybe smoother hair ties would be better for them because they would have enough hair to hold the hair tie in place. Otherwise you will need to triple the loops if you have SUPER fine hair or only use small sections of hair to tie.
