It could be better.

It rolls tight and sticks well to the floor, but it's so thin that it doesn't proved much padding. Also, i notice that there are impressions on the mat from my knees & feet that remain in the mat long after i've done using it - so it's not "bouncing back" like it should. Its fine to stand, sit on or lay on, but if your looking to save your knees, get something thicker.

Pros
  • Excellent value, use under The Yoga Towel for hot yoga
Cons
  • The sticky texture can cause discomfort during extended periods of practice

I <3 my mat for my opinion

I love my Hugger Mugger mat. I have an issue with slipping around on my yoga mat and this has helped to lessen that issue for me.

Pros
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • The mat may not provide enough support for those with injuries or limited mobility

Basically a slip and slide

Too slick. I did not even use this for the first five minutes of my hot yoga class. I was sliding all over the place. I had to use a mat from the class.**update** I let my 6 year old go to a regular class (not a hot class) and was still sliding on the mat. This thing is useless!

Pros
  • Perfect Mat!
Cons
  • The mat may wear out easily with regular use and washing

Tapas Yoga Mat - my new review

This mat has been working very well for me during my workouts, perfect size and does not shift. Also arrived very quickly.

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • Some users may experience allergic reactions to the mat's material or manufacturing process

Just the right balance

Just the right mat. Not cushy like a mattress topper, but it has a good amount of give it and lets you still feel the floor a bit. To me that's important for stretching. I don't use it for yoga, but just for stretching after exercise.

Pros
  • Love the stickiness. It's just right, and I don't slip around while doing my practice. :)
Cons
  • The thin and lightweight material might not provide enough cushioning for those with sensitive joints

Better luck if you find another mat.

When I sweat, I still slip. I also tried washing this the day before I went to my yoga class. But it still doesn't help. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • ‎2.5 Kilograms
Cons
  • The mat can be slippery when wet or damp, causing injuries during practice

I love Hugger Mugger mats

I love Hugger Mugger mats. They are the only non-slip mats I have found to actually be non-slip. I noticed a slight smell to this mat in particular, but nothing overbearing. I actually bought another mat when it was on sale just for the sake of having another when I need it. I would buy it again and again and again! Only down side is because they are thin, I sometimes am uncomfortable using them on hardwood floors.

Pros
  • Perfect mat!
Cons
  • It is not compatible with all types of flooring, sliding around during certain poses

Very good yoga mat on my review.

I recently lost a hugger mugger mat I've had for years and just loved. Just the right amount of sticky, unlike others I've tried. The new one is very good and normally has that same great stickiness but when I sweat it just slips, which my old one did not. So while it is better than most other mats I've used, I wish it were like my old one.

Pros
  • Stable, sticky, durable
Cons
  • The mat may not be suitable for hot yoga sessions due to its lack of absorbency

Nice but I could've gotten a similar item for less at walmart

The mat is nice enough, but i have a yoga mat i bought a few years ago at walmart for half the price that is thicker and just as nice if not better than this one. I'm happy to have a new mat, but I could've gotten a better deal.

Pros
  • This product was exactly what I was hoping for! Was very sticky and perfect thickness!
Cons
  • The sticky texture can collect dust and dirt easily, requiring frequent cleaning

Thin mat, doesn’t have good grip

I had a jade yoga mat I purchased in 2017 and I was obsessed with it. Best yoga mat I’d ever had! My dog Destroyed that mat one afternoon so I needed a new mat and the Jade Harmony was alllll sold out. Tragedy. After doing some research I found Hugger Mugger to be similar, environmentally friendly and made in USA. Despite some recent bad reviews I had hope in the good reviews so I ordered it. The mat arrived, the emerald green color is very pretty but I was skeptical because it looked very…

Pros
  • ‎Hugger Mugger
Cons
  • The printed design may wear off with regular use or washing

Love this mat in my review

Great mat at a great price. The mat has good traction -- it's grippy, so my palms don't slip even when I'm a bit sweaty. I like it a lot. I don't think it's too thick and squishy, but it definitely doesn't feel like I'm lying right on the floor, either. No complaints yet!

Pros
  • everything great!!! :)
Cons
  • The edges of the mat can curl up, causing tripping hazards during practice

Best Yoga Mat: my feedback

I've used Hugger Mugger Mats for over 30 years. They last and remain sticky. I bought this one to use in a second home. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Great for all yoga levels
Cons
  • Some users may prefer a thicker mat for extra cushioning during practice

Not the same in my review

I purchased two mats. I have an earlier version of the same mat that I would give 5 stars. This version is very sticky. When using it to do yoga we’re all the time sticking & having to pull our skin off the mat. But then when we start sweating the mat gets what I’d call slimy. The texture of the mat is weird.and the ridges flatten out and stay flat during exercise. Very disappointed with product. If I still had packaging I’d return.

Pros
  • I like the thicker ml better but have always bought hugger mugger brand
Cons
  • thin, smells

Great mat for the price

It's great for beginner yogis. My hands grip it even when they're sweaty. I do wish it was slightly bigger, but it works. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Exercise & Fitness
Cons
  • The mat's stickiness may diminish over time, requiring the purchase of a new mat sooner than expected

My wife has always been dedicated to exercising, and both Yoga and Pilates have been part of her life for more than a decade.Kinda like the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, for a few years she tried one mat after another finding that 'this one is too short', and 'that one was too thin' or even 'that one just fell apart quickly'. until a Yoga buddy told her how much she loved this Tapas Mat. Yup -- the kids & I purchased it for her as a birthday gift a few years ago, and it turned out to

Pros
  • Nice quality and very nice item!
Cons
  • The mat may emit a strong odor that requires frequent airing out

Too slippy on my review.

I have found this mat to be very slippy which makes holding postions difficult. I'm hoping with use that it will wear in but after six uses there's not much improvement.

Pros
  • Just what I needed. Sticky and thick enough.
Cons
  • Not sticky enough for hot yoga

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good but thin in my review

This is a high quality, sticky mat. However, it is thin. It's like a fancy version of a generic mat you'd get at a big box store. It also doesn't smell much. I aired it out by hanging it over my shower rod for a day or so and now it has no off gas smell at all.I bought this may to replace a cheap, generic May that was crumbling (even though it was new)

Pros
  • What was expected.
Cons
  • The surface can be too sticky, causing skin irritation and discomfort during practice

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sticky for sure! for my opinion

Nice, very sticky mat. I read the care instructions and washed the mat first. I used the "soak" cycle on my HE washer so it wouldn't spin. Then I set the mat outside to dry for a day. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Mats
Cons
  • The thin material may not be suitable for outdoor practice on uneven surfaces

Good basic mat if you have dry hands and feet

I initially purchased this mat when first starting yoga (Iyengar) 3 years ago--however, I've found that even with multiple washings, it is just not sticky enough for me for many poses. I must have sweatier feet and hands than others who have used this mat! I am waiting to receive Harmony's rubber mat--this one is used in the yoga studio I go to and seems quite sticky.

Pros
  • ‎MA-TM-68-OLIVE
Cons
  • The surface can be too rough for sensitive skin or those with thin yoga clothing

I thought it was a good mat. I only intend to keep it at .

This mat worked well for me. I bought it as an extra and based on the price, I thought it was a good mat. I only intend to keep it at my son's house to use when I vacation there, so I wasn't concerned about the durability. I mostly wanted an inexpensive mat that would be slip resistant. I like this and will probably get another one.

Pros
  • Great qualty, beter than the cheep $5.00 ones
Cons
  • The mat may not be suitable for tall individuals with longer limbs
