Thin mat, doesn’t have good grip

I had a jade yoga mat I purchased in 2017 and I was obsessed with it. Best yoga mat I’d ever had! My dog Destroyed that mat one afternoon so I needed a new mat and the Jade Harmony was alllll sold out. Tragedy. After doing some research I found Hugger Mugger to be similar, environmentally friendly and made in USA. Despite some recent bad reviews I had hope in the good reviews so I ordered it. The mat arrived, the emerald green color is very pretty but I was skeptical because it looked very thin. I was able to use the mat a couple days after it arrived at an outdoor yoga class and was super disappointed. When we did poses on our knees this mat was so thin I was in pain and had to use my mat towel rolled up for padding. Once I got a bit sweaty, practicing outside in Texas in the summertime this was like 2 down dogs in, I was sliding all over the mat but I needed my towel to stay rolled up as a knee pad so I just slid around for an hour. I will also mention that the mat was super indented (hand, knee, foot prints) after just one practice! For $40 I wasn’t expecting the quality of my beloved Jade mat but I had hoped it would be better than the $10 mats.no.This Hugger Mugger really disappointed me.
