Filtered water comes out like a faucet

Based on my PPM meter, the water that comes out of this filter is at best the same as my tap water. This is after you've let it run for a while, otherwise the PPM will be even higher than a faucet! Although the water smells a little. So I end up using my desktop filter to filter better.
