I'm glad I have such a wonderfully large cat blanket. It covers the entire toilet floor with two litter boxes. It makes mopping your floor as easy as picking up and hosing down your driveway! No more wiping the floor under the trays! It's totally waterproof, so if your cats miss the box, they'll catch it. I clean him up by putting him in the driveway, shaking out the cat and hosing it down. I let it dry there and then return it clean and beautiful. Because it is a plastic material, it does not absorb odors. It holds the litter that falls on it, but does not actively remove the litter from the cat's paws. So when they walk like my cats, you still have a litter box around the house clinging to their tiny paws. But the floor in your closet will be cleaner, and scattered dirt next to the boxes will not be swept into the surrounding space. UPDATE: I just ordered another one of these (a year later). The first order was "light gray" but this time I was able to get dark gray. In a personal color comparison, the darker gray looks more like real gray. I find the color labeled "light grey" to be very blue-grey. I simply put the "light grey" in the cupboard under the litter box and the prettier "dark grey" in the entrance area. I also took it outside to hose down after a cat threw up on it and it worked beautifully. I appreciate anything I can just wash away.
