Review on Nemco (55050AN-R) - The Ultimate Ribbon Fry Kutter for Perfect Cuts by Eric Montgomery

Revainrating 5 out of 5

. Summer festival in Michigan and I thought it would be great to make fries for mine.

I saw this frying knife on a string at the Michigan Summer Festival and thought it would be great if I could make french fries for my seven grandkids. For some reason I thought the cutter would cost less than $100, but it didn't. However, if you are serious about making fries with a band, this is the knife you need. It's pricey but worth the money to make exceptional fries. I mounted mine on a nice piece of oak board for stability and portability. Due to the size limitations of home deep fryers, you can chop a lot more potatoes than you can fry in the same amount of time. It takes less than 30 seconds to slice a full-size russet potato once it's inserted into the knife.

Pros
  • The preset driving depth prevents the potato holder from touching the cutting blade.
Cons
  • String is shorter than others
