retractable tape measure

Good looking and strong. I haven't used it to measure my garden yet. But I really need it because my metal tape measure was too clunky to use for this task.

Good for the price of measuring and marking tools

Perfect for measuring a fence and seems quite durable for the homeowner. I don't think it will last very long for a handyman but for occasional use it's worth it.

You need one of these

After struggling outdoors with long steel tape measures that bend etc, this is a dream come true. Fast changing, bright lettering and weather protection are now some of my favorite tools.

Very good tool except:

I like everything about this band except that the metric scale is on the top and the English scale is on the bottom. That would be nice, except that the default is metric. When using tape, the standard winding and reading metric is up.

A Simple Tool for a Simple Job

This is not a commercial tape measure, but if you do a job or two that requires a tape measure it will likely work. I mean it's fragile in use and so far I haven't broken it and it works quite well. Use it to align the frame with the tall tunnel.

Nice band but metric always shows

It's easy to use. Improvements can be made by showing the US metric instead of the default metric. I have to rotate the tape to be able to read it in the US. Also, the loop at the end of the band needs to be hooked onto a nail or screw so it can only be used by one person. The loop must not have any notches.

NOT EXACTLY! DO NOT USE FOR RELIABLE MEASUREMENTS. Junk

It became suspicious when my measurements did not agree with the secondary standard. I pulled tape on the floor against a well known brand and the same thing started. Within 5 inches the increments changed and were no longer true distances on the tape. NOT ACCURATE

Good smaller tape in drums

Purchased when I was surveying my property and couldn't figure out where I kept my 200ft footer. This product is light in color, light and compact compared to my big one. In my opinion, the quality is in no way inferior to well-known brands. The difference is that there is a plastic loop at the end of the strap which I don't expect to cause any problems if handled properly.
