I would like the red to be a bit darker in this set, but these colors work well for primary colors and for mixing a variety of colors to balance the size. It's good if you want to mix your own better, which I had to work on. The container is not too crazy, 6 mixing wells in the lid, white with rounded corners. The trays tend to fall out when they are new and have no dried paint stuck to them. I dropped it and these little paint pots went all over the place and the paint came out, it was a mess. So I still prefer that the koi travel kit has a removable palette, sponges and the foals that are already dried and sticking to the pans. However, this set has the advantage of being fully customizable. You can arrange the colors as you like or replace them with others. If you want to use your favorite tube color, just squeeze it into the tray and let it dry.
