I recently bought a different brand of external CD/DVD drive but it didn't always work well so I had to return it. God I'm glad I did because I found this little gem. It was only a few dollars more than my original purchase, but it has a few extra features. Basically I bought it because it came with a very nice carry case. It is very well padded for protection. I have a MacBook Pro and need to use an adapter. The bag features a separate zippered compartment, which is great for carrying the adapter and extra cables or small items that need to be transported. As an added bonus, the drive cable is integrated into the bottom of the drive, so you don't have to deal with loose cables when you're done. I liked it so much that I bought a second one to use on my iMac at home. You will not be disappointed!
