Broken but fixable - Chandelier

We had a problem with this light fixture. One of the plastic fittings on the bulkhead arrived broken. There is no number to call so we considered returning it. We got this in a deal of the day, albeit at such a good price. I ended up buying a $7 bulkhead pack for 50 from Revain. All 5 were changed accordingly. You must turn it off to perform repairs. If you find yourself in this situation, search "pendant light wire input" in Revain to find the details. I'm glad we kept it even though I had to fix it. The light looks very nice in my daughter's new house. We like that the length is infinitely adjustable. It wasn't bad at all for the setup but I would say you need above average skill. You need to think and plan a little. There are a lot of wires inside and trying to just slide them in is going to give you a headache. First decide on the length. Sit down and adjust them all with a ruler. Take a metal hanging bracket and temporarily attach it to the base of the lamp to make room for the screws. You can use a ruler to measure the distance between the holes on the base of the bracket and attach the screws to the mounting plate. I had 19 5/8 inches. Tighten these screws so you don't have a headache later during final assembly. Leave the rod in the holder for now. Take some small zip ties and fasten any wires as needed to keep them around the bracket. the outer perimeter is completely removed from the mounting plate. Getting it right is a bit of a puzzle. Then remove the mounting bar and attach the bar to the ceiling. You can either mount the ring on the box or slide it to one side or the other. You will need Mollys or Pry Bolts. You still need to mount it on the ceiling whether you have the ring installed on the box or not. If you don't, you risk light falling off the ceiling. I was lucky. I used a strap on a ceiling box with a screw through one end of the mounting rod. The other end of the rod landed perfectly on the bolt eliminating the need for mollies. Try the attachment to make sure the screws are still aligned. If you don't have a helper, thread the rope through the holes in the mounting plate next to each e. Hang it about 10 inches below the ceiling. Connect it with wire, pull out the cords and attach to the ceiling. It's quite simple if you think about it. It is worth noting that the lids of the jars are very durable and are equipped with a fastening screw. These glass lamps that I installed have very fragile "lids" that bend easily.
