These breeches are very flattering. They feel comfortable and aren't too hot (even in Miami weather!). Can't comment on how well they work in cold weather but the material isn't flimsy. It feels a little thicker than denim but is much more breathable and not stiff at all. They're actually very stretchy, just enough to slip on quickly without putting pressure on your legs or buttocks, and they make it easy to toss the leg up and down when stepping on and off. Also, the waist stays elevated even in the two-point position, so you don't show your butt to everyone. The ankles also have velcro to fasten them over your riding boots (this works great with my Ariat paddock boots). In addition, the material dries quickly. I wash them in the washing machine as usual and hang them up to dry. All in all these pants are great and at a great price, perfect for stable riding. They're probably too casual to show off, but they're perfect for everyday wear. PS I am a 5ft 4in, 120lb female with an athletic build. Pants size 26 fits me perfectly.
