Review on ๐Ÿ”Š PORTER-CABLE PCC771B Bluetooth Speaker & Radio: Your Perfect Audio Companion by Kyle Robinson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

For what I paid for it. That's enough

I got what I paid for. It's really compact and doesn't sound as powerful as some other brands of wireless jobsite radios. But it didnโ€™t cost โ‚ฌ199 either. On the control panel. A+. It's easy to understand and easy to use. "EQ" is just the ability to boost/cut the levels of high and low frequencies, but it works. I like the ability to set preset stations. The antenna is great! With digital search/scan function and digital adjustment. It seems to have the ability to fine-tune the incoming signal (like most more expensive portable radios do today). The volume is sufficient. The speakers are each about 3 inches tall. They have power, but they start to distort at about 3/4ths of the volume scale. Sound clarity is above average, but not what I would call "audiophile" quality. My biggest disappointment is the very thin power cord/adapter. For what is supposed to be a 'working' radio station. It is very thin and the power supply is built into the 110V plug. I guess a good hit from Paul is the end. I don't have original 5Ah batteries for PC system 20V max. So far. I used the radio at 3/4 volume for maybe 20 hours. Still hanging there. I wish it had a headphone jack to connect additional speakers to, but it's not always possible to get what you want in this world. I am so happy with it that I will not be sending it back. Let's see how durable it actually is after a few months. actual use of the "construction site".

Pros
  • Portable speakers and docking stations
Cons
  • So-so
