New Life for an Old Bike

I put these derailleurs on a late 90's Connnondale mountain bike that I recently bought to ride on the rough, paved bike trails near my house. I've ridden them on my road bike and was looking for something more suited to the terrain (he killed me). What I couldn't get used to on a mountain bike were the stiff "rotary switches". whatever came up, so I bought them. They are numbered so that one 'click' is a front and rear shift, making shifting smooth and quick, just like higher quality shifters on a road bike. Installation was easy, requiring only a couple of hex drivers and a screwdriver. One thing to note about installation is that the included cables are long enough for any bike - even a tandem, I'm sure - so you'll need to snip off the excess with wire cutters once everything is in place and adjusted. . This will bring a hard end to the fight. I put some solder on them to stop it. I've ridden them just over 200 miles in the past few weeks and have had no issues so far.

Pros
  • Front Derailleurs and Derailleurs
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
