Good option for old setup

I have used other Microshift products before so I expected good quality and functionality and they suit me. Setup was easy, action light and positive front and back. Very useful considering decent seven-speed shifters are hard to find these days. I can't say anything about the durability, but they make a quite reliable impression.

Pros
  • Shifter
Cons
  • Nothing

Really good rear derailleur

My e-bike took the manifold off the luggage rack and crushed the factory rear derailleur. Couldn't find any bike parts to save my life due to Covid and finally found this. Combined with my upgraded Deore shifter, this thing shifts cleanly most of the time with no rattle. Many times I can't even tell you've switched, other than peddling. The smoothest shifting setup I've ever had. I also like the ability to shift into multiple gears at the same time.

Pros
  • Sport & Freizeit
Cons
  • Not automatic

Broke before I took it to the road

Mine broke while adjusting the derailleur. Now he only shifts to 2 instead of 3 gears on the front derailleur. It also has hard, gritty claws. The product feels cheap, plasticky, chunky, something you would find on a Wally World bike. I will be sending them back for some Shimano. I doubt they will last long considering how they feel. I will never buy the Microshift brand again.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Works to the breaking point!

After installing them I was very happy at first. The indexed shifting worked very well without any adjustment. Then I rode 20 miles and the spring on the lower arm of the right derailleur stopped working. I have to reset the lever manually if I want to shift again. Hope the new ones last longer!

Great replacement for broken 3x7 systems

This Microshift 3x7 groupset is a great replacement for outdated 3x7 transmissions (or even 3x6 if you tighten the limit screws). Microshift manages to make their derailleurs work well with both Shimano and SRAM derailleurs, making them a great choice for replacing broken or damaged derailleurs. are they transparent Thick? I really can't tell. Again, this is closer to pantyhose specs, but they are easy to fit and work with all types of transfers.

Pros
  • Parts & Components
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

New Life for an Old Bike

I put these derailleurs on a late 90's Connnondale mountain bike that I recently bought to ride on the rough, paved bike trails near my house. I've ridden them on my road bike and was looking for something more suited to the terrain (he killed me). What I couldn't get used to on a mountain bike were the stiff "rotary switches". whatever came up, so I bought them. They are numbered so that one 'click' is a front and rear shift, making shifting smooth and quick, just like higher quality shifters…

Pros
  • Front Derailleurs and Derailleurs
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
