Water supply hose connection too loose

The pump's rubber bushing fits perfectly into the base of the 2010 BMW 535I tank, but the hose connection that comes out of the pump and goes to the wipers is too small and the connection is loose, leaking fluid . I taped it several times as I didn't want to send the pump back. Now the pump is not flowing and the pressure is low.
